if SE would read in the steam forums (which they dont do, so this is lucky for him aswell) would be his account definitly gone. alone that could be a reason for SE to suspend the account. even more lucky because in his post says he basicly that he entered a random birthdate on purpose. So, i stay with my opinion, OP will be extremely lucky if he gets his account back. There was even someone here in the steam forums which was complaining about this and wrote things like "why would i give square enix my real life informations" and peoples tried to explain it to him that this has aswell to do with it because square enix takes money (if subscribed) from that person and that it would be against the law to enter in that case false informations etc. I was extra looking for that notice on the lodestone for like an half hour before deciding to post this and i found it. They even made a notice about it because they got a lot of cases where the account informations was wrong for recovery (probably people trying to get accounts hacked via support with pawned rl informations) they stated aswell that it is against the Terms of Service. Square enix made a notice about it that you need to enter the correct details or else you will get in trouble if you try to recover your account It's still worth a shot for OP to get in contact with the support, claim they must have accidentally set the wrong year or whatever, and if OP can provide the necessary details they will likely help them regain access to their account. You can also request a change for the registered name (which i also did, as i have changed my irl name) and home address as well. A huge change will probably raise eyebrows, but i've never heard about anyone being denied the requested change. ![]() I had the birth year changed by one year. Source: requested such a change not too long ago and they did it super quickly without any issues, though in my case it really was an accident lol. They will require a picture of your id however as a confirmation. ![]() To be fair if for example the date and month is correct but the year isn't and you claim it was an accident the support will change it for you without problems, there is a specific form you can fill out for this type of requests.
